Later in the day, everyone meets in their new classes to receive books, schedules, and the introductory program for the first week of school. The day ends with the tutors playing icebreaker games with the new students and showing them around the school.

AUGUST 20-22 – 2G STUDY TRIP

All 2g classes go on a domestic study trip. The trip usually goes to Copenhagen, where students work with their subjects in a different way than in their daily work at school. The 2g excursion also has a social purpose, as spending several days together brings the class closer together.

August 28 – IB Welcome Party

At IB, the new school year is celebrated with a big Welcome Party for all IB students at the school. The party starts in the afternoon with fun competitions and continues with a communal meal, entertainment, and lots of fun. Finally, diplomas will be presented to this summer's IB graduates. 3i is responsible for planning, decorating, and cooking (as a large CAS project).

August 29 – Friday Café

The first Friday café of the year. The Friday cafés at KG are known for their great atmosphere. The school's students gather in the canteen area to chat with friends, listen to some good music, and enjoy a soda or beer. Some go home after an hour. Others stay a little longer and maybe meet up later in the evening. It's up to you. But the Friday cafés are always cozy and fun.
